The Festival of India has been celebrated around the world for over 40 years. However, its rich history actually stems from thousands of years of heritage. The festival begins at with a vibrant parade in which three giant chariots are hand-pulled by thousands of participants amidst melodious singing, drumming, and dancing. During the parade, judges will be looking out for the best dances, costumes and cultural displays. The parade will eventually arrive at the Tafawa Balewa Square, where the grand concert, exhibition and fair will take place.
